OP LATIUM is an organization of olive producers recognized by MiPAAF, of primary importance at the national level as well as the largest PO in the sector in the Lazio Region. Its mission is to improve the quality of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Table Olives through the use of systems of traceability and certification of processes and products, pursuing the full environmental, social and economic sustainability of olive growing.
Formally established in 2011, it has a social base born from the merger of two historic Sabine olive cooperatives, Colli Sabini of Palombara Sabina and Farfense of Castelnuovo di Farfa.
OP LATIUM has more than 9,000 members (direct and indirect) for a total cultivated area of about 12,500 hectares of olive groves.
The social base has more than 20 cooperatives, which serve as logistic-organizational support to production,
as well as a network of 40 oil mills.
Alongside the associative dimension, OP LATIUM also has its own direct farm production force, consisting of 3 owned mills
